Hello! My name is Claire Prescott, and as a promise to a good friend, I said I would write a little about my journey into strange lands to put on his web site.  I have been travelling for 5 months now, and one thing I have learnt? Nothing is ever what you expect it to be – and that is the best part!

Below is a little overview of my travels so far, and for now, I shall write about the crazy but wonderfull little bit of india that I have seen, and my experinces so far in my dream destination: Nepal.

I decided to go travelling about 18 months before my leaving date, and because I had finished university, and mainly because I was not ready to settle down into a job just yet. So I stayed waitressing, and had a great time saving up.

I decided to go travelling alone, because only one of my friends was able to go travelling at the same time, and we wanted to go to different countries.  Also, I have always been ok with my own company, and thought that in a lot of ways I would have a better time on my own, and this has turned out wonderfully true, even now, it’s only occasionally that I miss company, and, of course, I have met, and travelled with wonderfull people that I wouldn’t have able to if I had been with a friend.
